Fashion Capital_London_Street Photography: Brick Land

Brick Land I found was much different to Camden, seeing I didn't go on market day (which I was disappointed about) there still was plenty of people walking around to take pictures of.
I did find the people more friendly in Camden as no one said they didn't want their picture taken, but in Brick Land at least 5 people said no!! again how rude!! Saying that the people who I did manage to get a photo of were lovely and friendly so it made up for it :)

Here are my Brick Land street style snaps:

Fashion Capital_London_Street Photography: Camden

So for my recent university project we have to visit a fashion capital, look at and compare the fashion and surroundings. This involved me taking pictures of people who I thought looked rather stylish for the area they were in.

I dragged my friend Katy with me for moral support, even though some people did say no for me to take their picture (how rude!!! I would find it a compliment personally) I actually really enjoyed it, everyone was really nice and interested in what I was doing.
So to the people who's photo is on here and who I gave my blog address to Hiii :) and thank you very much.

Firstly we went to Camden. I have always wanted to go there as i have heard good things about it. And guess what I LOVED IT!! Defiantly my favourite place of the whole day. There was so much atmosphere and excitement going on, Camden market had great little buys I could of spend all day just having a mill around the stalls.
So the plan was to ask people if I could take their picture and whilst doing so ask them some questions, which gave me a great in site to why and who go to places I visited.

Vivienne Westwood_Red Label_Spring 2011

Vivienne Westwood if one of my favourite fashion designers, I love how she expresses her thoughts through her collections. I am actually doing my dissertation on this topic about how fashion designers put their ideologies into their collections, so Vivienne Westwood is a prefect designer for this topic.
This is her Red Label Spring 2011 collection shown in London on September 19th. (images taken from style.com)

I love her use of logo graphics on her garments, this collection brings a smart tailored preppy feel to the catwalk.

The 'Branded' head band I have seen in few of Vivienne Westwoods other collections, but I think this is the first time I have seen it on a model, and not on Westwood herself.

I love this outfit... I want the t-shirt and trousers!!!

A really creative, bold, and well made collection....

....Vivienne Westwood is my fashion idol... X

Bargain Buys A/W10/11 #1

Right so my first bargain buy find was between the high end high street store Topshop, and Low end high street store Primark (or as i like to say Primani). I have a love hate relationship with Topshop and Primark.... Topshop I love because their clothes are gorgeous... and I hate it because of the price!! Where as I love Primark due to the cheapness and they do have some quite nice bits if you look properly... but i hate it because its a mess!!
Below is the comparison between the sheepskin gilets.....

Topshop, sheepskin sleeveless gilet, £58.00

Primark, sheepskin effect gilet, £17.00!!!

I think you would agree that they both look pretty similar, both having a side zip, side pockets, over exaggerated collar, fleece lining, brown colour, and boning effect, the only difference is that the Topshop gilet offers a hood.

Ok we can admit that the Topshop gilet does look more expensive and looks nicer then the Primark one, but there is a missive £41.00 price difference!!

To be honest id rather be £41.00 in pocket!!

Both stores offer this gilet in both black and brown... happy shopping!!
